I haven’t done a self-portrait Friday in a while. From now on I’ll probably only post one pic because I’m running out. I guess I need to be just a little more narcissistic (oh slam! I spelled that right the first time). We took a trip to New Mexico in October 2006 specifically to go to the Sheep and Wool Festival in Taos. We extended our trip to a week and drove around visiting Santa Fe and other points of interest. This photo below was taken on our last walk around Taos. We went into this shop and picked up a few tchotchkes, then it was time to go.

A lot of traveling happened in 2006. The photos below were from our very first trip of that year – to Memphis, TN. I had this hankering to go to a conference dedicated to net neutrality. Bill Moyers was the keynote speaker, and I heart Bill. It’s nice he was able to retire, but he will be missed. This was a very memorable trip in that we met up with fellow blogger, Deborah of Middle Girl. Now, a trip to Memphis must include some bbq and Graceland. You can’t pass up Graceland, unless, of course, you’ve been there before. We hadn’t. So we did. And let’s just say, Big E liked him some mirrors.

I posted some pictures of this trip on my Fakeboot page. I’m pretty sure they’re available for anyone to see. Just follow this linkyloo.

In your honor I’m going to post a self-portrait that I took just today. And btw, absolutely LOVE the top pic. Just fantastic.
